Furniture design
Karlsruhe, Cologne
2015
In late 2015, I started to design a
freestanding wardrobe. Under the heading «Pure Talents», it was displayed at
the International Furniture Fair (IMM) in Cologne.
The design is a complex form of six intersecting poles, which are based on three ground points that overlap in the upper part and form six ends.
The highlight of the wardrobe is the special geometry. It allows to be either arranged in a circle or in an infinite sequence. In addition, the furniture can be quickly assembled and disassembled into its individual components. Whereby it can be adapted as needed and easily transported.
Two production offers have been received but refused, as the design is not fully developed yet. Currently I am researching on possibilities for the joints.
